Confidence isn’t just something we’re born with—it’s something we can build, just like a muscle. I learned this (the hard way) early in my career, and it completely changed the way I approached challenges.
When I first started out, I was the third female on a team of 400. Not only was I significantly younger than my colleagues—by about 20 years on average—but I also had no experience in the industry. I realized that if I didn’t carry myself with confidence, I would struggle.
And trust me, I did get "eaten alive" a few times.
But that didn’t sit right with me, and I knew I couldn’t let it continue. That’s when I became fascinated with the science of confidence.
I learned that confidence isn’t a fixed trait. You can build it, strengthen it, and flex it like a muscle. The more you work on it, the more natural it becomes.
Once I understood that confidence could be developed, I was hooked. This realization transformed my approach to not only my career but also my personal growth. Now, I want to share that insight with you.
If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t belong or couldn’t match up to others around you, remember that confidence is something you can cultivate. You don’t have to wait to feel confident—you can actively work on it every day.
Let’s start building that confidence muscle together!
